(Athol, MA) — An Athol motorcyclist is dead after an accident on Route 2 in that town. State Police say the 25-year-old man was killed in the eastbound lane of Route 2, forcing closure of that road for close to five hours. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
