(Deerfield, MA) — Frontier Regional School has advanced in the state boys soccer playoffs despite an ugly incident near the end of the Red Hawks game with Jeremiah Burke High School of Dorchester. A foul call against a Burke player led to that player receiving a yellow card warning, which in turn led to an altercation with the referee and eventually with a Red Hawk player who ended up on the receiving end of a punch from the Burke player. Both benches emptied and the game was called with just over 16 minutes left in the second half. Frontier will move on to the next round against Cohasset Saturday in South Deerfield.
