(Sunderland, MA) — Sunderland officials may be forced to rethink some of its plans for its newly constructed Riverside Park. Town Administrator Geoff Kravitz told the selectboard that rising costs of building materials will require the town taking a second look at some of the added features being proposed for the eight-acre park, most notably the kayak kiosk, renovated restrooms and replacement of a recreation shed. Kravitz said the low bid for the project was 63 percent higher” than what the town anticipated, which will require some budgetary adjustments.
