(Northfield, MA) A former teacher and dorm parent at Northfield Mount Hermon has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an incident that occurred almost 50 years ago. John Sturges, age 74, pleaded guilty in Franklin Superior Court on Monday to unnatural and lascivious act on a child under 16 and was placed on probation and ordered to undergo sex offender treatment. Sturges was also ordered to stay away from the victim. The incident occurred in the mid 1970s when the victim was in attendance at Northfield Mount Hermon and Sturges was employed there.
