Greenfield School Superintendent To Work With Police To Develop School Safety Strategies

(Greenfield, MA) — The Greenfield School Superintendent and the city’s police chief will work to develop strategies to make the schools safer. That was the motion approved by the Greenfield School Committee at a special meeting last night to address safety issues at Greenfield High School. Committee member Katie Caron stressed that the motion does not authorize Superintendent Christine Debarge to hire a Student Support Officer for the schools, an idea which continues to generate opposition within the community.
