(Orange, MA) – One person was injured in a Tuesday house fire in the town of Orange. The call came in around 4 pm reporting the blaze in the 270 to 300 block of Wheeler Avenue. A resident was transported to the hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation. Firefighters managed to rescue a number of pets from the home, including cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and the family dog. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
