(undated) – A viral story about two Springfield teens who allegedly smoked marijuana laced with fentanyl is apparently untrue. Masslive reports that Baystate Medical Center officials say the story, alleged to have come from a web group called “The Baystate Emergency Room,” is untrue, and that the hospital has no record of any teens being treated for marijuana-related fentanyl overdoses. The story sparked concerns in a number of towns, some of which issued alerts warning of the possibility of fentanyl-laced marijuana being sold on area streets.
