(undated) – Filming yourself while driving in a car may become a thing of the past in Massachusetts. Senator Jo Comerford has filed a bill known as “Charlie’s Law,” which would ban the use of recording devices in cars in an effort to reduce incidents of distracted driving. The bill makes an exception for so-called “dash cams,” which are mounted and stationary and operate continuously to record video to monitor traffic or passengers, largely in commercial vehicles.
