(Springfield, MA) – Sports in the Springfield Public School System have been temporarily suspended because of COVID 19. School officials say a recent spike in COVID cases has forced athletic programs to be halted until at least after the Christmas break, when health officials will once again revisit the issue. The suspension of sports begins today.
