Area Hospitals Overwhelmed By COVID Patients

Hospitals within the Baystate Heath system are experiencing the highest number of COVID-19 patients since the beginning of the pandemic. Baystate lists 249 patients at their three facilities in western Massachusetts with 202 at Baystate Springfield. About 70 percent of COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated. Those wishing to make routine care and wellness visit appointments at Baystate should know that they will not be scheduled until after February 14^th.
