The Massachusetts Teachers Union would like to see students masked in school through the end of the school year. Yesterday, Massachusetts lawmakers heard testimony related to mask mandates in schools. The president of the Massachusetts Teachers Union spoke in support of students older than the age of 2 wearing masks through the month of June. Senate Bill 2516 would implement a mask mandate requirement at all K-12 schools and childcare for everyone older than 2 regardless of vaccination status. Merrie Najimy, the president of the MTA spoke in favor of the bill and urged representatives to vote on it as soon as possible.
