(Cummington, MA) Police in Cummington are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in an attempted robbery of an ATM machine at the Old Creamery Coop on Berkshire Trail early Friday morning. The suspects allegedly attempted to steal the ATM around 2am Friday morning and were witnessed by a passerby who told police he saw a white Econoline van backed up with a chain around the ATM. Police believe the van was stolen out of Pittsfield. The suspects are believed to have fled on Route 9 towards Windsor. Massachusetts State Police and Cummington Police are conducting an investigation into the attempted robbery.
