(Massachusetts) Even though the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife has not published any information confirming COVID-19 cases in the deer population in the state, MassWildlife is testing deer brought in by hunters as part of a nation wide research study by the USDA to learn if the virus can spread between humans and wildlife. As many as 500 deer have been tested and it is not yet known how many have tested positive.
