Greenfield Fire Station Project More Expensive Than First Thought

(Greenfield, MA) – The Greenfield Fire Station construction project is proving to be more expensive than first thought. The Fire Station Building Committee recently approved shifting $615,000 from the furniture, fixtures and other expenses into the construction budget, which now totals $12.1 million, $2 million more than the initial main station budget. The transfer will allow one epoxy flooring to be included in the overall construction budget prior to it going out to bid.
