(Charlemont, MA) – Some new state resources are on the way to support recreation programs in Western Franklin County. State Senator Adam Hines on Thursday presented the town a $500,000 dollar grant to expand and support the town’s numerous tourist recreation sites, including Berkshire East, Zoar Outdoor and Crabapple Whitewater.
The grant money comes from the recently signed American Rescue Plan Act, which is making $350 billion dollars in additional funding to state and local governments.
