Per the guidelines released by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the state of Connecticut, effective Tuesday, April 14, all Big Y stores will limit capacity.
The supermarket chain issued the following statement on April 14.
“As an extra precaution to ensure our customers and employees remain safe, these revised limits are lower than the Massachusetts and Connecticut current guidelines. We have also instituted one-way aisles, and checkout social distancing markers have been added to all stores. We understand this is not shopping as usual, but it is for your protection as well as to help keep our employees safe. Please know that we will do whatever it takes to get through this challenging time together. From restocking to deep cleaning, we remain committed to serving the public. We will get through this together.”
