(Montague, MA) According to the Montague Town Administrator Steve Ellis, the General Pierce Bridge rehab project is approaching the midway point. The bridge which connects Greenfield and Montague was closed last April. The decking of the bridge is now being replaced and Ellis informed Montague Selectboard members that the MASSDOT has agreed to add lighting to the bridge project, which will total $13.7 million. The project should be completed by fall of 2023.
