Staff Report
(Colrain, MA) Future upgrades to the Colrain Central School will be paid for by the towns of Heath and Colrain. Selectboards from both towns came to an agreement to share future capital costs of the school. The decision follows last fall’s announcement that the town of Heath will tuition all their students from preschool to 6th grade at Colrain Central School after sending students to the Hawlemont School in Charlemont since 2017. Heath closed its only school that same year. Cost-sharing agreements exist between many west county towns, including Buckland and Shelburne.
