(Athol, MA) Massachusetts State Police are reporting that two drivers were killed in a head-on collision Wednesday night on Route 2 in Athol. Eric P. Shaw, a 46-year-old man from Maynard struck a vehicle driven by Thomas G. Prescott, a 67-year-old Leominster man just before 8PM. Route 2 was shut down in both directions for hours after the crash. State Police continue to investigate the crash.
