(Hadley, MA) — After an amazing comeback in their Round of 32 victory over Hopedale, the Hopkins Academy Golden Hawks take their show on the road to the Berkshires tonight. Hopkins faces top-seed Taconic High School in the boys’ state Division 5 quarterfinals. Hopkins survived a slow start against Hopedale that saw them trailing by 15 points in the first quarter. Andrew Ciaglo drained the game winning three-pointer with 1.8 seconds remaining to propel the Golden Hawks into the next round.
Taconic has been a traditional power in boys’ basketball, and the Hawks are well aware of the challenge they are facing in their quest to reach the Final Four.
