(Greenfield, MA) Spring street sweeping to begin this Wednesday, March 23rd at 7:00 am and will last for about two weeks. The targeted area will be from east of I-91 and south of Silver Street. While parking lots and downtown will be swept during the night, the rest of the town will be swept during the day.
Beyond the spring sweeping, downtown will continue to be swept every two weeks. Business owners are responsible for keeping their sidewalks clean. Business owners and residents alike are asked not the sweep litter or debris into the street. Residents are also asked to not park on the street during the daytime, until their street has been swept.
The street sweeping contract has been awarded to BDM Sweeper Services of Keene, New Hampshire this year.
