Athol Man Sentenced For Child Rape And Assault

Franklin County Superior Court Judge Francis Flannery sentenced an Athol man to 6-8 years in prison yesterday. 57-year-old Mark Bakerlis pled guilty to twelve charges related to rape and indecent assault and battery of a child. The charges stemmed from occurrences beginning in 2016 and lasting over five years. Bakerlis will serve his term at the maximum-security prison in Walpole.
