(Greenfield, MA) Tim Farrell and Robert Gilmore of Gilmore & Farrell Insurance Agency, Inc. have made a donation in the amount of $15,000 to the new Family Medicine Residency Program at Baystate Franklin Medical Center. This residency training program will establish a pipeline of much needed primary-care physicians in the county. Because when we train doctors in our community, they are more likely to continue their career locally.
The Family Medicine residency training program will welcome its first four residents in late June and eight more will join them over the course of the next two years. The idea for this program came out of a plan to aid and develop hospital services for the community. When Farrell left the Baystate Health Board of Trustees, this was an opportunity for him to continue his support for the hospital and the community.
Gilmore & Farrell hope other local businesses will follow suit in supporting this program. They are a family-owned independent insurance agency in Franklin County, offering auto, home, motorcycle, collector car, boats, snowmobiles, renters and business insurance.
