(Colrain, MA) The film ‘Lost Nation’ will be filming in Colrain on Adamsville Road and Hillman Road from April 12th-14th and in Leyden at the Town Hall and an open field from April 14th-17th. The Jay Craven film is set in Vermont during the American Revolution and will feature the stories of Ethan Allen and poet Lucy Terry Prince.
Allen, founder of the Vermont Republic, and Prince, one of the first African American poets, who built a homestead in Guilford, Vermont. Part of the motivation behind the film is to depict Vermont as racially diverse from its beginning.
The production company, Kingdom County Productions, is Vermont-based and is working with 46 college students from 15 different schools on the film. The date for the national release of the film is set for June 2023
