(Franklin County, MA) COVID numbers are on the rise and Greenfield Health Department received 3,220 at-home COVID-19 tests in addition to the 2,000 they received last month as part of the closing of the PCR testing site at GCC.
The at-home test are available to Franklin County residents through the Greenfield HEalth Department and the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, who is also receiving an additional 1,000 tests and providing COVID-19 tests to Montague, Deerfield, and Sunderland.
“With COVID cases in Greenfield rapidly increasing, these additional at-home tests are an important tool in tracking the virus and helping to keep people safe,” said Greenfield Health Director Jennifer Hoffman. “It is important that if you are in close contact with someone who has COVID, even if you are fully vaccinated, to get tested and wear a mask, even outdoors, for 10 days, per CDC guidance.”
In addition to the FRCOG office on the second floor of the Transit Center in Greenfield, you can find other locations to pick up tests at frcog.org/program-services/cooperative-public-health-services/ or find other local testing options at frcog.org/COVID.
