(Boston, MA) The Department Public Health has confirmed eight new monkeypox cases in Massachusetts. The state total is 21 cases since May. An immunologist from Western New England University, Clinton Mathias, said that symptoms of monkeypox can include a rash, fever, headaches, aches and pains. Monkeypox can be spread through contact with a rash or any kind of bodily fluid. Mathias said if you think you have monkeypox or have been in contact with someone who has monkeypox, to call your doctor.
