(Franklin County, MA) Even with the past couple of storms passing through the area, Massachusetts is still experiencing significant drought conditions according to the US Drought Monitor. Rainfall should average around four inches in July and we have only had around 2.8 inches this month, varying by area. Greenfield is still under mandated water restrictions and those are expected to continue for the time being. In the future, the town may be looking at a year-round water conservation plan including public education and communication.
