(Orange, MA) *Update* Testing by the Orange Board of Health has come back showing the high levels of E. Coli have lowered and Lake Mattawa beach has been reopened.

Lake Mattawa in Orange is closed until further notice due to unsafe levels of E. Coli bacteria. Notices have been posted at the Mattawa beach that the area is closed for swimming and further testing will be regularly completed to monitor bacteria levels. Once they have reached a safe range the beach will be reopened.
