Accident On River Road In Whately

(Whately, MA) At 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, August 18th, a vehicle struck a utility pole on River Road in Whately. The downed pole and wires were blocking the road causing the road to be closed while emergency crews investigated and repaired the damage. There were no reported injuries from the accident, although South County EMS did respond to the scene along with Whately Fire and Police units.

Crews battling flames, winds in Shelburne Falls fire
