(Franklin County, MA) COVID-19 continues to rise in the area. In the past seven days, Greenfield has confirmed 37 new cases. However, this figure is only showing the reported cases leaving out many unreported positive results from at-home tests.

The latest Franklin County wastewater testing data shows a significant spike in the presence of COVID-19 virus over the past two weeks, more than doubling concentration levels. To view more information about the recent COVID-19 wastewater data, click here.

There is a new variant, BA-275, and like previous variants this one is more effective at spreading and infecting people. It was first detected by health officials in California but may soon be seen across America.

Testing is available at Greenfield Community College, Greenfield Cooperative Bank in Shelburne Falls, and Walgreens in Greenfield. For more information on testing sites, vaccine sites, and where to get at-home tests, visit the Greenfield COVID Information & Resources Site.
