(Greenfield, MA) Construction for the new Greenfield Fire Station at 41 Main Street is set to break ground Monday, November 14th. Northampton-based D.A. Sullivan & Sons is the general contractor and the budget for the project now totals $21.7 million. This sum includes the funding for the temporary fire station, as well as the construction and furnishing of the new building. Mayor Roxann Wedegartner, Greenfield Fire Chief Robert Strahan, members from the Fire Station Building Committee and other officials will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 14th.
