(Boston, MA) Update: Question 1: “Fair Share Amendment” passed, with 52% of the votes favoring an extra 4% tax on those making over $1 million.

71% of Massachusetts voters voted “yes” on Question 2: establishing an 83% medical loss ratio requirement for dental insurance providers.

Question 3 regarding expanded liquor licenses did not pass as 55% voted against it.

And Question 4, upholding the law enabling undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses passed and there will be no change to the law.

Election results are rolling in and so far only one of the ballot questions has been decided. 71% of Massachusetts voters voted “yes” on Question 2: establishing an 83% medical loss ratio requirement for dental insurance providers.

As of 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, the other three statewide questions have not been called. Question 1 on increasing income taxes for those making over $1 million has voters split as 51% are in favor of creating a new tax bracket and 48% are not.

Question 3 on changing the number of liquor licenses a business can own has 45% of voters in favor of changing the law and 55% voting “no” to changing the law.

Question 4 on enabling drivers to obtain a driver’s license without proof of citizenship has 53% of voters in favor of upholding the law enacted this year.
