(Greenfield, MA)cThe Greenfield Police Department made an arrest Friday afternoon after receiving multiple reports of an attempted robbery and ensuing altercation at the Mobil gas station located at 142 Mohawk Trail. 42 year old Northampton native, Carlos Benvenutty took cash from the register when the attendant left the store to change gas prices outside. The attendant confronted Benvenutty and an altercation between the two arose. When the police arrived, the cash was recovered and Benvenutty was arrested on multiple charges including larceny and assault and battery.
