(Colrain, MA) An electrical fire on Tuesday in Colrain left a home uninhabitable. At approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Colrain Fire Department was called to Dwight Cross Road for a dryer fire that had extended into the home.
When units arrived on scene they found light smoke inside the residence from a fire in the laundry room that had extended to the floors and walls. The fire was extinguished quickly, but the home was left uninhabitable until repairs are made. Heath Fire provided mutual aid, other calls for mutual aid were cancelled.
