(Colrain, MA) The Town of Colrain has signed a 10-year contract with Whip City Fiber as the town’s internet service provider and network operator. Colrain began working with Whip City Fiber in 2019 and has since brought internet to 650 Colrain residents through fiber optic networks.
“The service from Whip City Fiber has been outstanding,” says Michael Slowinski, Colrain’s Municipal Light Plant Manager. “Their customer service and tech support are top notch. The operations team understands our needs and the territory.”
This contract reaffirms the partnership between the utility company and the town, ensuring residents continue getting the support and reduced rate for services.
“We are thrilled that Colrain has decided to continue this partnership with Whip City Fiber,” said Tom Flaherty, General Manager of Westfield Gas + Electric/Whip City Fiber. “We look forward to serving the town and their customers for the next 10 years and more. Colrain is a great partner. WG+E and Whip City Fiber take pride in our responsive, reliable service.”
Whip City Fiber, under its parent company Westfield Gas & Electric, has been working to bring fiber optic networks to 20 communities in western Massachusetts.
