(Boston, MA) Massachusetts preschool programs have been awarded a $36 million grant to be dispersed over the next three years through the Preschool Development Birth Through Five (PDG B-5) program. The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care will distribute the funds to state and local agencies that support child care, home visits, family engagement and positive health and economic outcomes for families such as Head Start and Early Head Start.

The funds will also be used to train and provide access to resources for child care providers and educators. The grant builds on previous Preschool Development Birth Through Five grants aimed at strengthening the resources and support for early childhood care across the country.he
