(Franklin County, MA) The Franklin County Transportation Planning Organization opened a 45-day public review and comment period for their Public Participation Plan draft. The comment period began December 1st and ends this Saturday January 14th.

The Public Participation Plan has been updated to include references to recent federal transportation legislation and now includes virtual public engagement guidelines and procedures as it is a “critical component of public outreach and planning.” The virtual meeting guidelines include sharing meeting materials via video stream and other download methods, requiring virtual meetings to be recorded, having trained staff to manage the technology aspect of running virtual or hybrid meetings, using 3rd party closed captioning if requested, along with other policies.

The updated plan can be found at frcog.org along with instructions to send in comments to Megan Rhodes.
