(Greenfield, MA) On January 16th, Massachusetts State Police arrested three on drug trafficking and firearm charges in Greenfield. According to the Massachusetts State Police, Around 10 p.m. Trooper Anthony Levigne pulled over a gray Subaru Impreza with a defective license plate on Route 91 in Greenfield and “observed paraphernalia on the floor of the vehicle used in the consumption of crack cocaine.”
A vehicle search was initiated and revealed two 9mm handguns, 113 grams of what is suspected to be cocaine, 1,650 packages holding a total of 33 grams of suspected heroin, and two scales. The driver, Richard Meinzer, 32 years old from Killington, Vermont, and the two juvenile passengers were arrested. Meinzer’s bail was set at $25,000 and reports were filed with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families for the juveniles.
Meinzer appeared at Greenfield District Court for Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Cocaine, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without FID card, License Plate Violation. The juveniles will be arraigned on charges of Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Cocaine, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
