(Greenfield, MA) The Greenfield Conservation Commission reviewed Valley Steel Stamp’s expansion plans at their meeting Tuesday. VSS is looking to add additional parking and a building addition that would connect their existing buildings.

The commissioners discussed the relocation of what they believe to be a manmade stream and the impact it would have on the surrounding wetland. They discussed initiating a peer review to evaluate the environmental impacts of the construction project, although VSS President Steve Capshaw noted that the project is urgent as they currently have parking and space issues. The commission voted to continue the conversation at their next meeting on February 28th.
