(Greenfield, MA) According to the City of Greenfield, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation is fully re-opening the General Pierce Bridge by the end of day Monday, February 27th. Two-way traffic will be restored to the bridge and the temporary barriers and signal system for one-way traffic will be removed.
In the City’s announcement of the bridge re-opening it was said that “The contractor has been working extended hours” to get the bridge fully re-opened. And in regards to the pedestrian lighting system, there is still some work to be completed but “it’s expected to be mostly accessible from the sidewalk.”
