(Franklin County, MA) The Franklin County Regional Tourism Council has received a $1 million dollar Travel & Tourism Season Extension collaborative grant awarded to the six Western Mass regional tourism councils. The grant supports inter-county relationships that will maximize marketing efforts for the region.
According to the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, tourism brings in $79 million annually to the county.

Tourism is a significant driver of the economy in Western Massachusetts and having our regional organizations work together in partnership will help stretch this funding even further to the benefit of all four western MA counties.” said Senator Paul Mark, Tourism Committee Chair.
