(Whately, MA) The Town of Whately is holding a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd where residents will vote on entering a three-plus year contract for solar power services at the Town Offices, repurposing $20,000 in unexpended funds for Water Department operating expenses, and transferring sums to pay for prior year bills. Later in May, the town will reassemble for the Annual Town Meeting to vote on “housekeeping” bylaw changes after the town’s Water Department and the Whately Water District merged last year as well as fixing zoning map errors.
