Another Landmark Greenfield Business Closing; Baker Office Supply Done This Month

(GREENFIELD) — Baker Office Supply has announced that their retail location on Main Street in Greenfield will be closing by the end of this month. W.B. Mason will take over the commercial division of Baker Office Supply, while Hens and Chicks will move into the Baker space on Main Street. Hens and Chicks is one of the businesses that are required to move to accommodate the redevelopment of the Wilson’s Department Store building.

Here is the statement from Baker Office Supply owner Bill Baker:

“Baker Office Supply will be closing their retail location by the end of May.   We would like to welcome Hens and Chicks who will be moving into our location sometime this summer.  Before we leave, we need the community’s help to liquidate all our retail inventory, fixtures, and displayers.   Additionally, the commercial division will be merging with WB Mason on May 1st.    We will be introducing the new representative who will be servicing your account over the next 4 weeks. There should be a seamless transition where customers will be able to order and receive next day delivery.  There will be no changes to the copier division.  Bill and John will continue the maintenance programs and selling equipment.  All of us at Baker Office Supply would like to thank the community for their long-time support.”
