(Whately, MA) After last week’s freeze, Whately’s River Valley Farm has lost their blueberry crop for this year. Over 10,000 bushes of blueberries, 70-80% of which succumbed to the freeze resulting in a ‘devastating’ loss to the farm. Owner, Robert Sobieski, has started a GoFundMe as his family relies on the blueberry crop to sustain the farm business. Sobieski explained that the funds will be used to sustain farm operations and invest in frost protection equipment.
