(Bernardston, MA) There is an active investigation after a Bernardston patrol officer stopped a suspicious vehicle resembling a police vehicle Tuesday evening. The individual driving the car, and only occupant, was arrested for numerous charges and according to Bernardston police, was wearing a tactical vest, wearing a badge resembling a police badge, and armed with a handgun, handcuffs, knives and other police-style equipment. The individual is expected to appear in a dangerousness hearing and the Bernardston Police Department assures there is no current known public safety threat related to this incident.
