(Greenfield, MA) The Greenfield Skate Park grand opening was celebrated Wednesday evening with a well-attended ceremony with city officials, Mayor Roxann Wedegartner, Recreation Department Director Christy Moore, and many community members. The park was a collaborative effort in the city and has been enjoyed by the community members for a few weeks now who come with family to enjoy the site. Wednesday’s ceremony coincided with National Go Skateboarding Day as part of what City Council President Dan Guin called a “good week for Greenfield” with Monday’s Juneteenth event and several local school sport teams winning titles.
