(Franklin County, MA) Update: Several roads remain closed after Monday’s heavy rains and flooding. Water has receded from Nash’s Mill Road in Greenfield, but it will remain closed until debris is cleared. Stillwater and Mill Village Roads in Deerfield were closed yesterday and will be reevaluated this morning; the Stillwater Bridge will remain closed until an inspection team can look at the pillars. More roads across the county may be closed and washed out, travel with caution today. The Connecticut River is expected to continue to rise to its peak flow this evening, backing up rivers and streams upstream.

Heavy rainfall has swept through the area, causing flooding and some roads to wash out. Area emergency service departments are urging residents to use caution if traveling and to stay home if possible as crews are busy throughout the county.

March Road, Williamsburg Road, Creamery Road and Bird Hill Road in Ashfield

Westbrook Road in Whately

Greenfield Road at Pine Hill Orchards in Colrain is down to one lane due to water in the road, according to the Colrain Fire Department and they report multiple other road washouts in town.
