(Colrain, MA) The town of Colrain has achieved Tier 2 status of the MassDOT Complete Streets Program, allowing the town to apply for Tier 3 funding. The MassDOT Complete Streets Programs aids municipalities in their efforts to make safe and accessible roads for all travelers through a three tier process including training and policy formation in the first tier and the creation of a prioritization plan in the second tier. At the third tier, municipalities may apply for up to $500,000 in construction funding. The town is hoping to receive funding to begin implementing their prioritization plan in the spring and summer of 2024.
