(Franklin County, MA) The Healey-Driscoll Administration announced grant recipients for the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement program at Leverett Library this week. 81 organizations including Community Action Pioneer Valley and several schools and school districts several Franklin County students will receive a total of $15.5 million for funding improving child development and family engagement. These organizations often serve as the connection to community resources for families, especially in rural areas.
Franklin County awardees include:
Greenfield’s Community Action Pioneer Valley, receiving $131,095
Frontier Regional School District, recieveing $51,205
Gill- Montague Regional School District, rceieveing $63,704
Mohawk Trail Regional High School, receiving $94,500
New Salem/Wendell Union School, receiving $117,325
Pioneer Valley Regional School Distirict, receiving $45,885
“Our CFCE partners are deeply connected to their communities, providing vital and responsive services to young children and their families across the Commonwealth. Most recently they have stepped up and been a critical support to the rising number of families arriving in Massachusetts. Programs are doing everything they can, including setting up playgroups and child friendly spaces, as well as providing case management and referrals to support the health and well-being of families,” said Department of Early Education and Care Commissioner Amy Kershaw. “We are pleased to provide $15.5 million in grants to continue these critical services and recognize our partners for their work, done with empathy and grace.”
