(Greenfield, MA) ServiceNet provided an update on the families staying at the Days Inn in Greenfield that Interim Chief of Staff Diana Schindler passed on at the City Council meeting Wednesday. There are currently 45 families staying at the inn, with a total of 63 children and 78 adults. Officials from ServiceNet said it’s ‘going well’ and they will begin accepting donations again through the Greenfield Health Department. Donations of winter coats, boots, shoes, hats, gloves, sweaters of all sizes, including children’s will be welcomed. ServiceNet is also working towards creating volunteer opportunities and will be announcing as soon as they can accept people into the roles. Director Schindler also said the families are engaging in the community by joining churches and spending time in the parks and downtown.
